We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, knowledgeable and experienced Front End Developer to join our expanding company, as a member of our Development Team.

The Role

You’ll use your extensive web development knowledge to plan and execute development projects within given deadlines. You should be comfortable not only with front-end tooling and technology – but also broader software development principles such as software patterns and architectural aspects of applications.

You’ll be working closely with a range of disciplines across our production teams including front-end, back-end, product owners, project managers, account managers and more to deliver high quality solutions. Whilst the main focus will be development, you’ll also find yourself participating in sprint planning, estimation, testing, code reviews, bug fixing, deployments and working on new projects, implementing new features as well as maintaining and improving the existing functionality through enhancements or assisting our support team. This role offers excellent career development, with opportunities to progress.

The Tech:

  • Understanding of HTML and performant CSS
  • Knowledge of SASS pre-processors
  • Knowledge of JavaScript including ES6 features, object orientated and functional programming
  • Experience setting up Front-end automation/bundling with tools such as Gulp, WebPack or similar
  • Experience with building responsive websites
  • Understanding of browser compatibility, testing and debugging tools.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards
  • Knowledge of SEO principles
  • Knowledge with NPM dependency management
  • Experience with Git version control

 Nice to have, but not essential:

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft/.Net stack.
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Services.
  • Experience with Sitecore CMS.
  • Some knowledge of S.O.L.I.D principles.
  • Experience with client side frameworks such as Vue, React or Angular
  • Some Knowledge of JavaScript unit testing and frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine or Jest
