Have you got at least four years SEO experience and are looking to further your career in a well established digital agency? 

We are looking for an energetic, confident, and organised SEO to add value to our Performance Marketing team either in our Leeds or Manchester offices, although working remotely will be expected. 

The role holder must be able to proactively work on their own initiative, supporting different teams, line manage SEO Consultants and Executives in the team, and deliver and manage successful SEO retainers to our existing clients. 

The SEO Lead will also be in regular contact with clients via email, phone and face to face, helping to pitch new ideas to existing and new clients. On new business opportunities, they will support the pitch team with necessary research and estimates, attending the pitches if required. 

In addition the candidate should have excellent knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager with a numerical mind to help them analyse the performance of the retainers and to help drive future initiatives. 


The candidate will report to the Head Of Performance Marketing and should have a hunger for everything digital. As part of the constantly expanding team the candidate will be in a great environment to further their skills and knowledge. 

The candidate will ideally have a track record of implementing successful SEO strategies and campaigns that have had a positive impact on increasing website rankings, traffic and value. They would also be able to manage a portfolio of dedicated projects, and work as part of a team on website builds and migrations.  


  • Create successful SEO strategies for clients through in depth research and insights
  • Research trends and competitors, pitching ideas internally and to clients
  • Manage existing clients and help build new business by contributing to proposals and pitches
  • Create SEO strategies for ongoing retainers and site migrations. 
  • Feed technical SEO knowledge into SEO strategies and migrations. 
  • Take ownership of reporting on activities to clients
  • Make necessary changes to client websites through a variety of CMS’s
  • Carry out technical SEO reviews / audits 
  • Develop relationships with your key clients
  • Plan and assist with implementation of link building campaigns through outreach of content
  • Collaborate with the PPC team at a high level
  • Line manage SEO consultants and SEO executives within the team
  • Carry out weekly meetings and one to ones with the team.
  • Support team members and share knowledge
  • Keep up-to-date with industry news and changes


  • Experience and a track record in SEO and performance marketing
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and on site and off site optimisation is expected together with web
  • Google Analytics experience to a high standard. 
  • Google Tag Manager experience to a high standard. 
  • Knowledge of various tools including
    • Google My Business
    • Google Search Console
    • Google Data Studio
    • SEMrush
    • Majestics SEO
    • Ahrefs
    • Screaming Frog
    • AWR Cloud
  • Understanding of display marketing, email marketing and concept of personalisation 
  • Local SEO skills
  • International / Multilingual SEO skills
  • Good technical SEO knowledge.
  • Experience outreaching campaigns
  • Knowledge of core principles of outreach
  • Experience line managing staff
  • Good verbal and written communication


  • Experience using Google Data Studio
  • Google Analytics Certified
  • Enhanced Ecommerce tracking knowledge
